Quality Health Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Manager– Akrotiri
Permanent contract – 40hrs per week

This position is a great opportunity for someone with experience and passion for Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management, through leading a small team across a multi-site contract.
Role responsibility
▪ Lead the QHSE department and promote an integrated management system, encompassing a proactive environmental, health and safety culture.
▪ Facilitate the maintenance and management of environmental health, safety and wellbeing through sys-tems, audits, inspections.
▪ Implement, monitor and review health and safety policy and action plans to ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.
▪ Offer expert advice on matters relating to the environment and health and safety at work including the obligations and responsibilities of managers and employees.
▪ Undertake environmental health and safety planning, including the setting of goals, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management.
▪ Assist in the delivery of comprehensive operational technical training to promote, develop and sustain a positive health and safety awareness culture.
▪ Provide appropriate accident investigation methodology to ensure personal management accountability and improve risk management.
▪ To develop and ensure delivery of the contract internal and external audit programme.
▪ Instrumental in leading the QSHE team to establish and maintain safe systems of work and developing a culture and safe environment for colleagues and customers.
▪ Maintain collaborative business relationships in line with Sodexo’s vision and values.
The ideal candidate
Essential:
✓ Proven experience of managing safety in a similar environment
✓ Diploma or professional qualifications in health and safety
✓ Experienced leader with good people management experience
✓ Good numerical, interpersonal and communication skills, must be able to demonstrate effective ver-bal and written communication
✓ Manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities
✓ Ability to make independent decisions
✓ Able to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
✓ Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
✓ Analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions
✓ Fluent in both English and Greek, verbal and written
✓ They must undergo and pass a security/police check
Desirable:
✓ Responsibility for a management system operation
✓ Member of CMIOSH/IEMA
