Health and Safety Officer

Location: Dali Industrial Area, Nicosia

Working hours: 08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:00-15:45 Friday

Mundipharma Pharmaceuticals is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join the company. The position reports to the Managing Director.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the Company meets its legal obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, environment, and welfare at work, including mandatory health checks, training, and reporting.

• Develop and update all H&S policies, and procedures.

• Create and update all SDS for all products produced and released in the market.

• Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all facilities, works, equipment, and operations.

• Investigate and document all accidents and implement the necessary corrective measures. Additionally, the H&S officer is responsible for notifying the authorities when required.

• Implement safety inspections, and fire drills and maintain correct and updated records.

• Responsible for issuing all licenses for all H&S equipment/ machinery/facilities.

• Monitor environmental issues and suggest actions to minimise the company’s footprint (i.e. waste management, emissions). Keep waste management records.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Have the training and experience required to be approved as H&S Officer by the Department of Labor Inspection

• University Degree in a relevant field

• At least 3 years of recent and relevant experience as a Health and Safety Officer

• NEBOSH (General Certificate) qualified preferable but not required

• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language (verbal and written)

• Computer literacy

The remuneration package includes a competitive monthly salary, 13th salary, provident fund, and voluntary private medical insurance.
